TLG’s Dealing With Separation Course Goes Live!
In 2004, TLG worked together with the Child Support Agency (CSA) to develop a course for parents called "Dealing With Separation." Addressing issues including communicating with the ex-partner, dealing with children’s reactions and managing finances, the course was initially delivered to the Australian public through over 10,000 CDs. The course was aimed at providing empathy to visitors that their feelings were not uncommon and that they were not alone in their situation, as well as practical assistance.
It was a huge success – so much so, that CSA has just worked with hand-in-hand with TLG, again, to modify the delivery of the course and put it on the Raising Children Network’s website. The course can be viewed at http://raisingchildren.net.au/dealing_with_separation/separation.html.
