General Project Brief:

To provide effective e-learning modules for a broad base of Allianz employees and external agents and representatives, both in Australia and in global markets, with a high level of interactivity, and tracked assessments. 

To build a development foundation for all Allianz modules, including interface, development and design standards, and a production line methodology which will allow Allianz the option of supplying instructional design, visual design, or programming services if it chooses (Allianz currently save approximately twenty percent on its project costs by supplying its own instructional design services).

The online learning needs to be deployed in SkillSoft’s My Smartforce environment, utilising the My Smartforce 3rd party custom templates.

Specific Projects:

The required online learning represents a broad range of training areas:

• product training for Allianz’ insurance products (43 modules);
• compliance training in OH&S, Privacy, Fair Trading, EEO and Workplace Behaviours, Financial Services Reform in Australia (8 modules), and Sarbannes-Oxley compliance training for the international markets (Allianz Germany -- 7 modules); and
• orientation training for new starters (6 modules).

Our Brief:

• quick, reliable production – we needed to create a rapid development process, specific to Allianz’ needs, which will provide rapid, high-quality turnaround for its projects.
• teach us a scripting format – Allianz wished to do its own instructional design, so we spent the first few projects transferring the knowledge for a suitable scripting format.
• help us serve Allianz Global business units – Allianz Global wishes to consolidate its e-learning services, and needs help in responding to e-learning requests from business units all over the world.

Interesting Bits:

• working with the Allianz team – working with Arndria and Tracy initially, and now Nicola, Tracey and Anissa, has been a fun, professional, and extremely efficient process.  It has stretched us and taught us.
• working with SkillSoft’s My Smartforce team – working with the wonderful guys at SkillSoft to provide online solutions over the past 2 years has
  been great.
