Background
Conscious of its responsibility to protect customers and the business from information security threats, NAB engaged TLG to develop an e-learning course that empowers learners with the knowledge they need to make accurate judgements when faced with potential security threats.
NAB viewed this training as more than just a corporate safeguard - they also wanted to give learners the skills to protect their personal information in any context, not just at work.
Our Solution
The course uses an immersive approach to challenge learners with five real-life situations. Each situation is different, but the course uses a constructivist methodology, getting learners involved in the decision-making processes behind each situation before formally teaching the best response.
The design aims to encourage learners to think about their automatic responses to these common situations, teaching that, with a little thought, it's easy to be security-conscious.
The course has been well received by the NAB audience: more than 12,000 employees from the 30,000+ target audience had completed the module within two months' of its initial release.
Some feedback from NAB staff on the module:
“It is one of the cleanest, most effective and best designed e-learns that I have seen. An exceptional result.”
“I was very impressed with the choices of topics and the way it was constructed.”
“The information was relevant, and the style made it enjoyable to complete.”
