Sports Day 2005
On Friday the 11th of November, 2005, TLG held its quarterly staff sports day in Sydney’s Centennial Park. With staff members swapping half a day in the office for the sunny outdoors, all the organisation that went into preparing for the day was well worth the effort. Playing a marathon game of cricket and riding bikes around the park circuit seemed to get everyone in the mood for the main event of the day – the mini Olympics!
Organised by Tom and Vicki, staff had to get into teams of six and wear coloured bands to distinguish each group. They then competed in a relay of egg and spoon carrying, two legged racing, dressing up in interesting outfits and throwing a ball at a target, cycling, sprinting, carrying coloured cups of water between two places, puzzle solving and lastly, building a human pyramid. As you may imagine, it was quite a site for park onlookers!
The winners were The Pinkies who outwitted, outplayed and outlasted all other competitors for their prize of a large Toblerone bar each. The entire day was a great success and an even better start to the weekend.
